Description

The park offers fun for the whole family, for an afternoon or a weekend. On the lake, you can canoe or kayak, fish, swim and boat (no wake). On land, you can explore nearly 13 miles of trails on foot or bike, set up camp, look for geocaches, and nature watch. Water Sports The park surrounds the clear blue water of 116-acre Cedar Lake. Enjoy swimming, fishing and no-wake boating. Try your luck fishing from our ADA-accessible, covered fishing pier. We loan fishing gear for use in the park. You do not need a license to fish here. The park has a boat ramp and no-wake boating is allowed. We do not allow personal watercraft (i.e. jet skis) on the lake. Bring your own watercraft or rent one of ours. Rent a single or double kayak or paddle board from the self-service kiosk (credit card only) at the Cedar Lodge day-use area. Read through our water safety tips before you come. Hiking & Biking Trails range from easy to strenuous. Choose a leisurely stroll or a high-intensity hike. Follow the Spillway Trail to the hand-carved three-tiered spillway, which resembles a large waterfall after rains. Mountain bikers: Experience challenging downhills, fast smooth flats, and everything in between. Our technical and wooded trails form a 6-mile loop. Learn more about our trails on the Interactive Trails Map page, or download the Trails Map (PDF). Learn more on the Trails Information page. Camping All campsites have water and electricity; some have sewer hookups as well. You can also reserve a screened shelter or cabin (bathrooms with showers are nearby). Group Gatherings Host your next group gathering here! Rent the Cedar Lodge for the day, or reserve the group camp (with dining hall and barracks) or youth group primitive camping area for overnight stays. Civilian Conservation Corps Men of CCC Company 3804 built the dam, park road, water tower, entry portals and outdoor fireplaces. Learn more about their work on The Look of Nature: Cleburne. Shopping We sell ice, firewood, charcoal, ice cream and souvenirs at our park store. Get involved We need your help! To volunteer
