From this lookout Mt. Baker climbing parties appear as small dark figures dotting the ice and snow with the Twin View Sisters range, Glacier Peak, and Mt. Rainier on the horizon. The lookout was built in 1932 and Skagit Alpine Club volunteers maintain it. This lookout is available on a first-come-first–serve basis. There is no longer a toilet available at the lookout. All waste is required to be packed out; free blue waste bags can be acquired either at the Sedro Woolley Ranger Station or at the trailhead when available.
