The Richardson City Council expanded the Spring Creek Nature Area in 2014 with the purchase of 57 additional acres directly across from the CityLine development. The Spring Creek Nature Area is a unique open space in the heart of a highly developed urban environment. Highlights of the Master Plan for the Spring Creek Nature Area include trail system expansion, greater opportunities to view urban wildlife in its natural habitat and historical connections to the original settlers in this area. Donations are encouraged to help enhance the Spring Creek Nature Area so that it can continue to be a signature park where citizens can explore, educate and engage.
