valley of fire is awesome! about 40min north of town, easy to get to, plenty of rock, plenty of parking and picnic areas. we’ve competed here before, but we always let the rangers know what we’re doing a week or so ahead of time. we’ve never had a problem with them and we want to keep it that way. it helps to go meet with the rangers and show them the rigs and the fact that we aren’t doing any damage to the rock.
